FG plans workshop for firms qualified to participate in gas flare commercialization

Successful companies who applied for qualification package of the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Programme (NGFCP) via submission of their Statement of Qualification (SoQ) are now set for the next stage of the scheme ahead of allocation of gas flare sites for resumption of gas recovery and end to flaring.

A statement signed by Mr. Andrew Agi, Director, Special Duties/Alternate Chairman of NGFCP, for the Permanent Secretary, said the companies have been invited for Workshop on Monday at the PTDF Conference room of the Ministry in Abuja as part of steps to final stage of the scheme.

“The theme of the Workshop is ‘Regulatory Framework, Incentives, Best practices and Understanding the Request for Proposal Phase to Boost Investors’ Qualified Applicants’ Appetite in the NGFCP’.

Explaining more on the planned workshop, the Program Manager, NGFCP, Mr. Justice Derefaka, told Business Hilights that “These stages are being followed by the Federal Government to ensure due process and efficiency in all necessary aspect of the gas commercialization drive of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources”.
