FG extends closing date for SoQs on Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Program

The Program Manager, Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Programme (NGFCP), Office of the Honorable Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Justice Derefaka, Thursday, January 17, 2019, announced the extension of date for Submission of the Statements of Qualification (SOQs) of the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Program (NGFCP) to Thursday, 28th February, 2019.
In a statement made available to Business Hilights, NGFCP informed interested parties that further to “Federal Government Calls for Expression of Interest (EoI) and Issuance of Request for Qualification (RfQ) Package to Conduct The First Bid Round For The Largest Market Driven Flare Gas Monetization and Utilization Programme Undertaken on A Global Scale,” the first bid round for the flare gas inviting parties interested in participating in the NGFCP to register and apply for the issuance of the Request for Qualification (RfQ) package which will lead to the submission of Statements of Qualification (SOQs) by interested parties for participation in the programme.
The agency said the submission date for the NGFCP Statement of Qualification (SOQ) has been extended to Thursday, 28th February, 2019 as opposed to the initial submission date of Sunday, 20th January, 2019.
Each Applicant is required to complete and submit a SOQ and pay the SOQ submission fee by 17:00 hours West Africa time on or before the SOQ submission deadline of Thursday, 28th February, 2019 in order to qualify for consideration as a Qualified Applicant (QA) and NOT a day after. Each Applicant is responsible for preparing and delivering its SOQ in the required format.
Derefaka made it clear that “It is important to note that ONLY registered parties on the Programme web portal can participate in the NGFCP bidding process.
“For those who have not registered, see the link below for Registration/Expression of Interest (EoI) on the NGFCP web portal. Go to www.ngfcp.gov.ng and click ‘Login/Register’ at the top right hand corner, the link will open and then click ‘Create Account’ to register.
“It is also important to note that the interface by those interested in the Programme with the NGFCP will be through the portal ONLY.
“Once again, thank you for your interest in the NGFCP. For any inquiries, please refer to our website: www.ngfcp.gov.ng, send an email to: info@ngfcp.gov.ng and click on ‘Resources’ to access and/or download the Gazetted “Flare Gas (Prevention of Waste and Pollution) Regulations 2018”, the Programme Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) as well as the Programme Information Memorandum (PIM) on the NGFCP portal.
