Federal Government of Nigeria, for the first time since the introduction of the current Auto Policy has put paid to its local content campaign following the procurement of about 77 new vehicles for Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) operations from Innoson Motors.
The vehicles are 74 units of Innoson IVM 4×2 Double Cabin Pick-Ups and three ambulances.
Before now, the Nigerian Army had been patronizing the Nnewi based auto group with modernized Armored Personal Carriers (APC) and other service vehicles.
Recall that earlier last year, government of Mali had ordered and paid for over 400 units of official vehicles from Innoson.
