Commonwealth plans 2019 Spectrum Management Forum in June

Plans are underway for the Commonwealth Spectrum Management Forum 2019 in June this year, as part of programmes to mark the next World Radio Communication Conference 2019.
While registration for attendance has commenced, a statement from the Event manager for the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), Robert Hayman, said this year’s theme – ‘Internet of Things and Basic Broadband Access: Spectrum Implications,’ is set to take place at the Coin Street Community Centre, London, United Kingdom.
He said “This year’s forum will address the key issues surrounding the management of spectrum – planning and assignment to utilisation and recovery. Advice, guidance and key critical updates will be presented over three days via presentations, panel discussions and workshops. Key experts and industry leaders from the sector will draw on their expertise to share their knowledge and experience.
“This unique platform will connect communities, exchange ideas and generate solutions with an agenda that has been carefully created to address some of the key challenges faced with spectrum allocation.
Key global experts have been lined up for speakers coming from several segments including ICT regulators, policy makers, service and content providers, operators, technology, infrastructure and solution providers, will create a vibrant and engaging platform to examine the many facets of the spectrum management.
Key topics for discussion include; The promise of 5G; Spectrum utilisation; Efficient spectrum; Policy options for spectrum efficiency; Spectrum sharing; and Digital broadcasting switch over.
