The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced the appointment of Group General Manager in the Crude Oil Marketing Division, Mallam Mele Kyari as Nigeria’s National representative at the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Though the tweet did not give any details on the tenure of the representation or who Kyari is to replace by the appointment, it would be recalled that a Nigerian and former GMD of the Corporation, Dr, Barkindo is the current Executive Secretary of the global oil cartel.
