Access Bank extremely excited partnering with LASG in projects development—Wigwe
The Group Managing Director of Access Bank, Dr Herbert Wigwe Thursday in Lagos revealed that the bank is highly fulfilled and excited partnering with the Lagos State Government in the renewal of infrastructure and other development schemes in the state.
Speaking during the commissioning of Victoria Island-Lekki Traffic Circulation Project at Iru LCDA Headquarters in Island, he said the bank was attracted to fund the massive transformation scheme due to its believe that partnering with government will change things for good.
Continuing, he disclosed other urban development and renewal schemes the bank had partnered the State government to deliver in the past to include Damole Street, Omojomale, Ligali Ayorinde, Muri-Okunola and so many others.
Dr Wigwe also recalled that beyond physical infrastructure, the bank has continued to partner with the state in MSME development schemes for young entrepreneurs wishing to begin their own medium and small businesses.
In his address while declaring the brand new roads network, the state Governor, Mr. Babatunde Sanwo-Olu thanked Access Bank and enjoined other corporate citizens to emulate Access Bank in partnering the state in the development of critical infrastructures.
Earlier in her remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Works & Infrastructure, Engr Mrs. Aramide Adeyoye listed the merits of the new network of roads in Iruland.
According to her, the new development will among other things reduce traffic congestion on the axis, improve environment and living standards, enhance security and safety, improve traffic flow between VI and Lekki corridor, raise accessibility options for ingress and egress between VI and Lekki.
