Abia monarchs honour Agbazuere, new COS to Governor Ikpeazu

Consortium of monarchs, under the umbrella of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers have been called upon to remain supportive as well as to continue to galvanize more support for the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led administration to enable it continue to deliver on his mandate.

Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere, made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Traditional ruler of Mgboko Ngwa Amaise and Chairman, South East and Abia State Council of traditional rulers, Eze Eberechi Dick in his palace in Obingwa Local Government Area.

He averred that Governor Ikpeazu is very passionate about advancing the construction and reconstruction of ongoing and more road projects across the state immediately the rains abate.

While maintaining that Governor Ikpeazu has performed creditably in all sectors of the state economy despite the meager resources available to the state, urged the royal fathers to take the good news of the governor’s giant strides to the grassroots.

The Chief of Staff described Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as a visionary leader and one who is very passionate about transforming and repositioning the state on the part of greatness as well as the first governor since the creation of the Abia State to come up with a state anthem that reflects the true identity of an Abian, love and unity that distinguishes it from the other states.

He further disclosed that part of his visit was to chat the way forward, identify, seek their blessings and intimate the royal fathers on his new appointment as the Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu reassuring that the present administration is committed at enhancing the pride of place of traditional rulers across the state.

Earlier in his message, the traditional ruler of Mgboko Ngwa Amaise and Chairman, South East and Abia State Council of traditional rulers, Eze Eberechi Dick described Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as a servant leader who is very passionate about changing the narrative of the state.

He also pictured the new Chief of Staff, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere as a courageous and great achiever even as he commended him on his new appointment while promising that they will continue to give the state government all the necessary support it needs to succeed.

Members of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, who were present, took turn to pour encomiums on the service delivery capabilities of the CoS.

Some traditional rulers including Eze Patrick Ude,Eze Philip Ajomiwe, Eze Victor Asonye, a PDP stalwart in the state, Chief Isaac Ogbonna among others commended Governor Ikpeazu on his choice of a seasoned lawyer, loyal politician and erudite scholar of global acclaim as his Chief of Staff and urged him to be guided always by the Governor’s vision and agenda for good governance and overall development of the state.

The visit which attracted the presence of traditional rulers from the three senatorial districts in the state featured the chieftaincy conferment of AGBAWODIKEIZU 1 OF ABIA STATE on the Chief of staff to the Governor, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere by the traditional rulers.
