A Nigerian, Onoruoiza was one of 176 Ukrainian air crash victims in Iraq
Fresh report has emerged revealing that a young Nigerian, late Mr Dauda Onoruoiza, was one of the dead in the Ukrainian airliner crash caused by Iranian missile attack carried out ‘mistakenly in strikes at US air base in Iraq in retaliation of the US killing of its lead General, Qassim Soleimani last week.
Business Hilights gathered that late Onoruoiza was working with Boeing and was on a three months training in Ukraine.
He was on a three months training by Boeing in Ukraine and he was attached with the Boeing 737-800 to fly with and study the Mechanical noise and report back to the company because the said plane was scheduled for maintenance on Monday, today, 13th January 2020 in Ukraine.
Recall that in total, 82 Iranians and 63 Canadians were on board the Kyiv-bound Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) Flight PS752, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said.
There were also 11 victims – including nine crew members – from Ukraine, four Afghans, four Britons and three Germans.
Though few days ago, Canada carried out a review of its affected nationals and weeded away some names. It was not clear if the late Nigerian was part of victims which were later identified as non-Canadians.
Another report added that Iran’s head of emergency operations said 147 of the victims were Iranian, thus, suggesting that many of the foreign nationals held dual nationality.
