Platforms Communications plans awards for 10 best graduating Maritime students
Arrangements are nearing completion by Platforms Communications, Conveners of the annual Maritime Students Conference.
However, this year’s edition will among other things to honour 10 Best Graduating Students in various Maritime/Transport related studies during the 2nd edition of the Conference scheduled to hold in Lagos on May 27, 2017.
Coming with theme; ‘A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students,’ the Chief Executive Officer of Platforms Communications Concept, Mr. Sylvanus Obasi said his company’s decision to celebrate the Best 10 Graduating Maritime Students came as a creative and innovative approach to entrenching healthy academic competition and excellence amongst Nigerian maritime students.
A statement issued by the group said the award which would henceforth become a yearly honour to outstanding maritime students would not only encourage every maritime student to study hard but will also be a thing of pride for winners in the various categories.
Details show that outstanding students will be honoured in Best Graduating Marine Engineering Student; Best Graduating Nautical Science Student; Best Graduating Naval Architecture Student; Best Graduating Admiralty Law Student; Best Graduating Female Maritime Student; Best Graduating Shipping Management Student; and Overall Best Graduating Maritime Student.
Others are Best Graduating Transport Management Technology; Best Graduating Maritime Management Technology, and, Best Graduating Fishery Studies Student, all for 2015/2016 Academic Session.
The management of Platforms Communications averred that the Planning Committee is currently collating result figures from about 30 maritime academies and institutions where maritime and transport related courses are offered in the country.
