Emerging start-up value commercial airline based in Lagos, Green Africa, is set to commence flight operations with ATR 72-600 planes.
A statement signed by its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Babawande Afolabi, said the airline deferred 50 of its A220-300 planes and will now move ahead with the ATR 72-600.
Afolabi averred that will be deploying up to 15 aircraft across Nigeria by December 2022 and open two to three additional airport bases within the country over the next 12-18 months.
According to the statement titled ‘Green Africa to commence flight operations with ATR 72-600s’, it described the ATR 72-600 as a fuel efficient aircraft costing 40 per cent less in operating costs which will enable the airline to provide affordable fares and open up in newer cities.
