Leading telecoms giant and solutions provider, Globacom, has consummated an understanding with marketers of Nokia smartphones.
The new deal will among others, offer buyers of Nokia smartphones anywhere in the country range of data bundle to subscribers free.
In a recent statement, in Lagos, Globacom said the new offering, named Smart Phone Data Bundle Offer, now makes any customer who buys Nokia devices from the open market eligible to enjoy free offer.
“In conjunction with Nokia, the Smart Phone Data Bundle Offer would be available for our customers who prefer to purchase select Nokia devices in the open market across the country. All qualifying devices will have stickers to reflect the data bundle offer,” Globacom explained.
Additional details of the deal showed that under the terms, a subscriber who purchases any of the select Nokia smartphones worth less than N80,000 will get an instant 500MB data. Thereafter, the subscriber gets additional 500MB every 30 days for the next five months upon a cumulative recharge of N500 per month.
Glo noted that “If the customer buys any Nokia Smartphone whose value is between N81,000 and N150,000, will get 750MB and an additional 750MB monthly for five months, while a Nokia smartphone above N150,000, gives the subscriber an immediate 1GB free data and additional 1GB for the next five months, which add up to 6GB free data.
“To enjoy this offer, all a subscriber needs to do is to buy a Qualifying Nokia smartphone with Glo Sticker, and insert a new or existing Glo SIM. He or she will then get an instant data bundle. The next free data bundle will be given upon a cumulative recharge of N500 every month for additional 5 months,” Glo said in the statement.
