5 BelemaOil workers kidnapped while on OML 55 operational area

Less than 24 hours after the Nigeria Police image maker, Mr Frank Mba detailed an impending strikes on strategic oil facilities in Niger Delta, gun welding kidnappers Thursday afternoon, abducted five persons working with in a Seismic Operation by Belemaoil in Akuku-Toru LGA of Rivers State.
They were said to have been kidnapped picked while within the OML 55 operational area of Belemaoil Producing Limited in Akuku-Toru LGA.
The victims are staffers of a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL) and a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, BGP, who are contractors of Belemaoil.
Whereas the Kula Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, has condemned the kidnap of the five contract workers of Belemaoil by the gunmen, Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers, King Kroma Eleki, described the act as a drawback to the development of the area.
