Fresh explanation has emerged on the advantages of the novelty female football match powered by the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) as part of activities marking the Imo @50 celebrations.
In his remarks during the march in Owerri, the Imo State capital, the Executive Chairman of IIRS, Justice R. Okoye made it clear that the novelty match was designed to promote teamwork, unity, institutional and inter-agency relationships
Business Hilights reports that the friendly match was played between the female staff of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service and female bankers across the State. The initiative was designed to foster cordial relationships, encourage collaboration, and enhance productivity and efficiency in revenue generation through improved inter-agency cooperation.

Explaining further, elated Okoye commended the enthusiastic participation and sportsmanship displayed by members of staff who proudly represented the Service. He appreciated their commitment and highlighted the importance of recreational activities in building morale and strengthening workplace bonds.
The match ended in an exciting 1–1 draw, with both teams demonstrating impressive teamwork and professionalism. The event concluded on a positive note as players from both sides exchanged pleasantries, reflecting the spirit of unity and camaraderie that the game was intended to promote.
