Following the verdict on the matter of attempted land-grabbing in Rivers Cluster, Lagos International Trade Fair complex by one Mr. Eugene Akubue that he should go back and seek the space sales approval of the cluster members and Executives, the chairman of Rivers Cluster has revealed that peace has been restored in the cluster.
Speaking in an interview to Business Hilights, the Rivers Cluster Chairman, Hon. Kenchcukwu Obidigbo said his cluster was very happy on the way and manner the BBA/ICC Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Chief Okey Ezeibe ruled the matter by declaring that “Any purchase of Rivers Cluster space without the consent of the Executives and members is null and void and of no effect”.
“With what the BoT chairman judged in the matter, peace has returned to our plaza and we are happy that the BBA management stood against injustice and attempted land-grabbing.
“Eugene Akubue was told to come back to us for anything and we are yet to see anybody even as we are going on with our cluster business and administration peacefully.
River Cluster thanks the DPO of Trade Fair Police Station for being present at the peace meeting where the matter was resolved. We also thank the ED/CEO of Trade Fair complex for accepting our letter of protest.
Continuing, Hon. Obidigbo thanked all members of Rivers Cluster for leaving their businesses and coming out on Monday for the peaceful protest and I want to tell them that the matter has been resolved in our favour which means that no portion of our cluster shall be sold without our express knowledge and approval.
