Contrary to a recent blackmail purportedly trying to paint the genuine investments of Nigerian billionaire, Engr. Prince Arthur Eze and his Oranto Atlas Petroleum in bad colours cannot fly because it was dead on arrival based on the truism that the arrest of President Maduro of Venezuala has nothing to do with his international businesses.
A carelessly put together report recently queried “Why would a legit billionaire with a hugely successful company choose a partner with a regime that the US had already sanctioned and publicly called a narco state, it makes no sense.”
Whereas the group that put up the poorly scripted report failed to understand that Prince Eze, as an international business magnet, has had series of investments in virtually every oil economy in the world including Nigeria, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Liberia, Gabon and so many others and never in the history of his business was he or his associates linked to any kind of drug ring.
Yes, in August 2024, Arthur Eze’s company signed a deal with Venezuela’s government owned Oil Company to develop two massive natural gas fields. The signing ceremony was a huge deal Prince Eze and President Maduro were both there shaking hands on the surface. It looked like a normal business deal as he said, Africa was ready to invest in Venezuela and Maduro celebrated the joining of forces.
Another false claim of the report alleged that Nigeria oil industry has had massive corruption problems for decades. This is not true even as reforms have stabilized the Nigerian oil industry since several years ago, thus showing that the claims of the report cannot be founded after all.
Besides, for the report to claim that Police all over the world have pointed to West Africa and especially Nigeria as the main transit point for South American cocaine going to Europe, does not mean that such activities is linked to Engr. Eze or his businesses in the first instance.
