How Plateau State Citizens want the hotel to look like
Citizens of Plateau State of Nigeria have raised their voices on the continued incompletion of their common wealth, the Lamingo 5-Star Hotel started by previous state government.
The uncompleted Lamingo 300-bed 5-Star Hotel, owned by the Plateau State Government, has remained abandoned for decades without completion. Year after year, the structure stands as a reminder of wasted potential and unfulfilled promises.
With the presence of the Lamingo Dam and its strategic location, this hotel could have become one of the biggest and most prestigious hotels in Plateau State and the entire North Central region, excluding Abuja. It would have boosted tourism, created thousands of jobs, attracted investors, and positioned Jos as a major hospitality destination. Sadly, nothing meaningful has been done.
This is Lamingo 5-Star Hotel, Jos if completed, it would be the first true 5-Star hotel in the old Central State, outside Abuja.
The citizens cry to the governor, saying “Our able Governor, this is a golden opportunity. Completing this project will not only revive the economy of Jos but will forever remain part of your legacy. The people are watching, and history will remember who turned abandoned concrete into progress.
“Please, do something. Plateau State deserves better.
