Yesterday, Saturday December 6, 2025, was a total lockdown in Festac Town area of Lagos State as John Somtochukwu Emechebe took his wife, Mary-Ann Chinemerem to the altar for holy matrimony.

Activities kicked off in the morning from 10:30am Church Service at the Anglican Church of Pentecost on 21 Road, Festac Town, where the officiating Priest, Rev. Dr. Ebenezer took them to God on prayers and ordering of wedding procedures.

In his lead sermon, he advised the new couple to always take their challenges first to God in prayers before revealing it to human being at all times and to know that marriage means togetherness till death do them apart.

Shortly after the church service, wedding pictures were taken in front of the church by different groups including family members, friends, Providus Bank ASPMDA Branch officials and members of ASPMDA in Trade Fair because the Bride, Mr. John Somtochukwu, is the elder son of the seating President of Auto Spare parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Hon. Ngozi Emechebe.

As the photo shots are winding down, activities started shifting to the reception venue at the Villa Park Hotels, near Apple Junction in Festac Town.

Business Hilights reports that as early as 3:00pm, the hall has filled to capacity with business moguls and women of substances from different walks of live.

Checks showed that all most every business association in Lagos International Trade Fair complex was adequately represented either by their leadership or top officials. In fact, upon the massive size of the hall, at a point, it became jam-packed as more and more seats were brought in for more guests who continued to throope in even until the sun set.

Among dignitaries sighted by Business Hilights included ASPMDA General Secretary, Sir Juve Okpala-Okaka, Treasurer, Chief Cyril Anumba, ASPMDA President’s PA, Tony Ezenwaka (Akaonyewetelu), ASPMDA PRO, Emeka Anoruka, Chief Security Officer, ASPMDA Chief Auditor and many ASPMDA clerical staff.

Providus Bank ASPMDA Branch executives led by Obinna and Mrs. Hele Ugorji were on ground from the church to the reception hall including their top Executive Director from head office, who also graced the church activities.

The roll-call of Lagos Trade Fair leading business men and women included the chairman of Trade Fair Stakeholders Association (TFSA) and President of Association of Progressive Traders (APT), Chief Eric Ilechukwu and wife and Chief Cosmas Okafor, an official of APT.

Also present at the hall were the President of Balogun Business Association (BBA), Chief Oscar Ikechukwu Odogwu, Chairman of BBA BoT, Chief Okey Ezeibe, Ezeigbo of Amuwo-Odofin and so many others.
There are several former officials of ASPMDA including two former Presidents including Ezeigbo of Surulere, Eze Jossy Egwuatu and Chief Sunnex Ohanazoeze and others. Present at the wedding included former CSO of ASPMDA, Chief IK.

Also well represented is the Trade Fair management officials led by Mrs. Ngozi Okafor and Mr. Kolo plus head of marketing.
Findings showed that several dignitaries at the wedding came from far and wide and mainly from the East where the Traditional wedding had taken place earlier in August this year with massive fun fare.

Speaking in an interview, father of the Bride and ASPMDA President, Hon. Emechebe thanked God for his love and mercy on his family. He appreciated every person that graced the occasion from the church service to the reception and prayed that everyone will get back to their destination in peace.
