Further the trust placed on the planned Imo Economic Summit (https://imoeconomicsummit.com/register) by the international community, the Imo State Liaison Officer, Dr. Patrick Chidi Uzoma, Wednesday afternoon received the former UN Secretary‑General, Dr. Ban Ki‑moon, who touched down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport for the summit billed to start on Thursday at Imo Concorde Boulevard, Owerri, the state capital.
Whereas industry observers say the summit remains a striking signal of Imo State’s ambition to reshape Nigeria’s investment climate, they are of the view that experts will come up with a blend of both local and international thinking that will push up the investment scenarios in Imo going forward.
Business Hilights reports that the December 4-5th Imo State Economic and Investment Summit kicks off in Owerri tomorrow with the theme; “Unlocking Imo’s Economic Potential: Partnership, Investment, and Innovation.”
The state government has said whereas “We are encouraged by the interest shown by leading international and local brands in the progress we have made in Imo State,” the summit will serve as a platform for participants to connect and explore the economic opportunities in the Eastern Heartland.
Speaking on the summit ahead tomorrow opening ceremony, the state Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma averred that “Our doors to economic prosperity are open, and I look forward to welcoming everyone attending the summit.
