Perm Sec. Declares ’25 Int’l Trade Fair Closed as Ndanusa Honours Participants, Planners

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments, Amb. Nura Rimi on Saturday declared closed the 2025 Nigeria International Trade Fair closed at the Lagos International Trade Fair complex on Badagry Expressway.

The Perm Sec., represented by the Director of Special Duties in the Ministry, thanked all exhibitors who participated in the 2025 Nigeria International Trade Fair and assured them that the Federal Government will continue to give special priority attention to SEMs and mega businesses so as to power their capacities in creating jobs for Nigerians.

Earlier in her closing address, the ED/CEO of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board (LITFCMB), Barr. Vera Ndanusa, described the 2025 edition as a huge success when compared with that of 2024 when the fair was restarted after 14 years of inactivity.

Continuing, she assured that as this year’s edition is coming to an end today, her leadership is already kicking off preparations for that of 2026 which she said, will be much bigger.

On the 2025 fair statistics, she revealed that whereas well over hundreds of exhibitors registered and fully participated, attendance to the fair ran into several thousands, saying the figures are indications that the yearly trade fair has come to stay for the benefit of Nigerians.

Ndanusa announced and gave out several honour awards to categories including golden sponsors, star exhibitors, major participants and special award for the trade fair planners who are mainly staff of the management board.

Business Hilights reports that the closing ceremony was well attended by top officials of the Trade Fair Stakeholders Forum (TFSF) led by APT President, Chief Eric Ilechukwu. Other key figures in attendance included Hon. Ngozi Emechebe, ASPMDA President, BoT chairman of ASPMDA, Chief Dr. DC Offorkansi, Chief Ojiji Nzeako, PRO of APT, Stanley D’ Great, leader of Ajia Foundation in ASPMDA, Hon. Okwy Chukwuma and so many others.
