Thursday, November 27, 2025 was a special day in Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex as the massive market was engulfed with worship/praises in the morning and merriments in the evening. This is because the association officially closed the business year in style with national-grade music artistes’ including the ageless gospel artiste Rosemary Chukwu, who thrilled the crowd in the morning celebration session and left the evening session for the Ozubulu-born highlife maestro, Ayaka, whose thunderous voice entertained the mammoth crowd of ASPMDAians and their well-wishers including the new Area F Police commander, Mr. Chike Oti, who graced the evening session in company of the Trade Fair DPO Madam Olabisi.

Earlier in his opening remarks, the President of ASPMDA, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe, thanked God for his goodness and mercy in the plaza which has restored peace and prosperity for every member from January to December.

While rolling out some of his achievements since he was elected, he assured members that his administration is making efforts to deliver on every pledge made in the complex including the early delivery of the ASPMDA Extension, supplying electricity to parts of the market that are yet to get and making sure that justice and peace remain in the plaza.

In his opening prayers, the Vice President, who doubles as the chairman of the event’s organizing committee, Barr. Livinus Adilli prayed God to bless all ASPMDAians with good health and prosperity.

Key pastors in the ASPMDA Household of Prayer Group took turn to deliver general prayers and praises to God for the good of ASPMDA. Ministered men of God during the session included Evang. Bovel, Chigbo, Oliver CN, CY, and Evang. Chukwuemeka plus Minister Solochi before the visiting guest Artiste, Sis. Rosemary Chukwu took over the stage and utterly electrified the arena with her signature tunes of the oldies which aroused the spirits of many into dancing without control of any sort.

Business Hilights reports that ahead the mounting on stage by the guest artiste, two leading financial institutions which supported the ASPMDA 2025 end of the year celebration including Providus Bank and Stanbic IBTC took turn to deliver their goodwill messages laced with their enticing products including loans for every strata of business with very attractive terms and conditions for business owners in ASPMDA.

Major groups that graced the occasion included founding fathers and past presidents, Ajia in ASPMDA Women Foundation and others.

However, activities shifted to Trade Fair Motel in the evening where the highlife maestro, Ayaka-Ozubulu treated everybody with beats and dancing styles till the event got to a close.

While the highlife beats where renting the air, several zonal groups in ASPMDA were seen treating their members and well-wishers with assorted food dishes, drinks and merriments while the music and public dancing continued.

Speaking to the media in an interview while the occasion was ongoing, ASPMDA President, Hon. Emechebe thanked God for a successful year both in business and administration in ASPMDA despite every push by the enemies and assured members that next year will be better for ASPMDA and every member.

Also speaking, the first Vice President, Barr. Livi Adilli gave glory to God for not only a successful year, but a highly successful planning and execution of end of the year celebrations in ASPMDA.

In his views, a leading stakeholder in the Trade Fair complex and ASPMDA in particular, High Chief Nonso Okafor (Akusinachi Nnobi), greeted the intelligence of the current administration to organize a successful end of the year get-together for ASPMDAians and prayed for God’s prosperity for everyone come next year which he described as an election year in ASPMDA.

The special guest at the evening event included the new Police Area Commander, Mr. Chike Oti in company of the Trade Fair DPO, Madam Olabisi.

Within the period of both morning and evening, security details were seen including the Police, Army, DSS, Civil Defense and even the JTF.

Many ASPMDA members who barred their minds on the level of success of the end of the year activities thanked the ASPMDA administration for a well planned and executed merriments from the morning till the evening.
