Executive Chairman of IIRS, Mr. Justice Okoye
As part of drive to grow seamless revenue generation and tax payment in Imo State, the Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) on Saturday, 27th September 2025 held another capacity–building session for its field agents on the use of the Revenue Management System (RMS).
Business Hilights recalls that RMS is a digital platform that integrates the e-ticketing system to deepen tax payment system in the state, a strategic solution introduced by the administration of Mr. Justice Okoye since he was appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Service.
The training focused on familiarising revenue agents with the processes and tools required to implement the digital ticketing platform.
The RMS, with its built-in e-ticketing feature is designed to improve transparency and efficiency in revenue collection across the state, reduce leakages, and boost internally generated revenue. By equipping agents with the necessary skills and knowledge, IIRS aims to ensure smooth adoption of the platform and better service delivery to taxpayers and stakeholders.
This step reflects the government’s commitment in leveraging technology for sustainable economic growth and revenue generation of Imo State.
