Sights and sounds of Gov. Uzodinma in Sevilla, Spain recently
The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, in far away Sevilla, Spain, has opened up on the master strategy he is using to fast track infrastructure financing in Imo State, saying “The financing gap in Africa remains a critical issue with far-reaching implications for the continent’s development. This challenge continues to hinder the ability of governments to fully unlock their economic potential.
Giving insights on his development secrets, he added that “Despite the immense pressure that global economic situations have placed on public budgets, in Imo State, we are confronting this challenge head-on by championing what can best be described as “africapitalism”.
“I made this known while speaking during a panel session at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), in Sevilla, Spain. I emphasized that homegrown solutions are the most sustainable pathway to bridging funding gaps.
“The adaptation of africapitalism has catalyzed a wave of entrepreneurship across key sectors. Today, we are witnessing a surge of locally-driven businesses in agriculture, digital enterprises, renewable energy, fashion and creative industries, and manufacturing.
“Imo State will continue to drive robust support to these sectors, ensuring inclusive growth and economic resilience,” the Governor averred.
