The President of Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe has expressed the readiness of the association to build auto spare parts shopping complexes in any West African country that presents the opportunity and enabling investment environment to the association.
Answering questions during his presentation at the just concluded West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) from many auto parts stakeholders and traders across the West Coast, who appealed for the setting of ASPMDA Annexes in each of the countries in West Africa, he expressed the readiness of his association to invest outside Nigeria.
According to him, “ASPMDA is ready to invest in West Coast especially in countries where the national government is ready to provide land and all necessary logistics supports.
“We are strategic investors and we are willing to enter any economy provided they are willing to welcome us by providing everything we need to establish our business.
Hon. Emechebe recalled that “Currently, ASPMDA supplies genuine parts to almost every country in West Africa using the highway via waybill system. We can do more by going further to establish shops and ASPMDA annexes in every country so far our investment will be fully guaranteed by the national governments in terms of safety of investments and security.
Responding further, he charged traders and participants from the ECOWAS region who are in need of ASPMDA plazas in their nations to try and discuss with their national governments to provide us with necessary supports including massive land and other logistics to come and set up ASPMDA.
Business Hilights correspondent covering the WAAS reports that many of the West Coast traders erupted into excitements and clapping of hands over the ASPMDA assurance to invest across ECOWAS region.
