President Bola Tinubu has officially promoted the third substantive Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Mr. Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche
Putting his new rank on his uniform, the Minister of Interior, HM Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo said “Today, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), I decorated Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche as the third substantive Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
“In my remarks, I urged the new CG to build on the successes of his predecessors in areas of transformative reforms.
“It is my hope that he will make the president proud by inspiring officers in the service to do more in advancing the cause of the paramilitary service to an enviable height.
“I challenged him to develop reforms and strategies to reposition the service into one that is truly correctional, transformative and reformatory where as a country, we can reduce the rate of recidivism to zero.”
