Rwanda in conjunction with Qatar Airways is currently undertaking the construction of the New Bugesera International Airport 40 Km from Kigali.
Upon completion, the new facility will be capable of handling 14 million passengers a year.
Qatar Airways which the financier of the project will have 60% ownership of the new Airport.
The move is set to offer access to 65 locations around the world as well as positioning Rwanda as an African Aviation hub.
