Undercover investigations have revealed a total of 32 Security Checkpoints along Onitsha to Enugu Expressway.
The distance between Enugu (Abakpa Junction) and Onitsha (Onitsha Headbridge) via the Enugu-Onitsha Road (Route A.232) is 101.1 kilometers. This road is a dual carriageway and connects the South-East and South-South with Lagos, South West, and the Northern parts of Nigeria.

Many Nigerians who plied the highway were asking if there is war in Eastern Nigeria that will warrant the massive checkpoints or are they turning the checkpoints as an avenue for IGR.
