With heavy hearts, the Executive and members of Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers’ Association (ASPMDA) have scheduled this week’s Wednesday, April 9, 2025 for the official final respect and wake keep for its departed Executive Council member, late Prince Edozie Obiekwe, popularly called Uto-Jesus. The venue is Trade Fair Motel and time is put at 3:30pm in the afternoon.
Business Hilights recalls that his untimely date, the deceased passed away from injuries sustained from a sole-auto accident on March 15th, 2025, along Old Ojo Road, Amuwo-Odofin, LGA of Lagos State.
In an interview with the Chief Mourner and President of ASPMDA, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe, he described the departed sole as one of the pillars of his administration and prayed to God to give his family the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
According to him, “ASPMDA has lost in Uto-jesus, a selfless officer, a former Deputy Chief Security Officer, former ASPMDA Youth Leader and an intelligent worker”.
He said “Already, condolence register had been opened at ASPMDA for him, many lovers of ASPMDA have been donating for his burial and family upkeep and all efforts are being made to give him a befitting burial”.
A burial announcement and poster made available to the public by his family read as follows:
“We the family of LATE CHIEF SIR AUGUSTINE OBIEKWE OKEKE (KSC) of Ubulu Village, Eziowelle in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, regret to announce the sudden death of our beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father and Uncle.
Late Hero, PRINCE EDOZIE OBIEKWE. (UTO JESUS), whose sudden death occurred on Saturday 15th March 2025.
