Chinese leading electro-mechanical company, the Fuan Shenwei Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd, China has collaborated with its major distributor in Nigeria, the Sun Rain Group to provide educational supports to some schools in Lagos both public and private as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Addressing the media during the visits to schools in FESTAC Town and Abule-Ado all in Amuwo-Odofin in Lagos State, today, March 14, 2025, the chairman of Fuan Shenwei Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd, Mr. Li Ziao
Hua explained through his interpreter, that the school support project is coming under ‘Overseas Heart & Care Touring’ of Fuan Shenwei Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd, China to Nigeria where the company has a strong partner and distributor, Sun Rain Group, owned by Engr. Collins Uba, who has been reliable over the years.
He said “We are touring countries where we have distributors and supporting their educational development with our major product, the SenWei gasoline Generators and we are also supporting 10 less privileged students in each school we visited as part of efforts in giving back to the Nigerian society which has been supporting our business though our partner, Sun Rain Group.
During the tour, the first school visited was FESTAC Senior College located on 24 Road. The entire school both teachers and students very grateful for the gift of a giant Senwei generator and also cash donation of N50,000 each, to selected 10 less privileged students.
In his response after the presentations of the gift items, the excited Principal of the school, Mr. Oluwafemi David thanked both the Chinese company and their Nigerian partners for choosing their school for the CSR visitation.
He assured that he will inform the Local Education Authority about the massive supports and noted that the school will judiciously use the generator to aid learning in the college.
He thanked the Chairman of the Chinese firm, Mr. Hua and the chairman of the Nigerian partner, Engr. Collin Uba for the fine gesture and prayed that God will continue to support their businesses.
Before the end of the event at FESTAC Senior College, one of the 10 beneficiaries, gave a goodwill message to Fuan Shenwei Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd and Sun Rain Group for remembering to support education and the less privileged in society.
Form FESTAC, the team moved to COSOM School in Ado Soba area of Abule-Ado in Amuwo-Odofin LGA of Lagos State.
Addressing the school management and students, Mr.Hua informed them that the company was in Nigeria as part of its yearly international tour of countries where their products are consumed under the ‘Overseas Heart & Care Touring’ of Fuan Shenwei Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd, China.
He said his company is happy to associate with Sun Rain Group in ASPMDA over the years, noting that their visit to the school is to give support for educational development to students.
While presenting the Senwei gasoline generator, he also gifted 10 selected less-privileged students of the COSOM School with N50,000 each to support their studies.
In all, Fuan Shenwei Electro Mechanical Co., Ltd gifted N50,000 each to 20 students; 10 students in each of the visited two schools all totaling N1,000,000:00 and two giant generators.
In her acceptance speech, the Executive Director of COSOM School, Mrs. Olisa Nwanneka thanked the visiting Chinese company and their Nigerian partners for remembering to support educational development in Nigeria.
She assured that the generator will be well utilized for the benefit of students.
One of the highlights at COSOM School was the meeting of Mr. Hua with a Nigerian student in the school whose mother is a Chinese, master Miracle Anyado, who looks like Chinese.
He and his wife gifted him a N50,000 envelope and took pictures with him.
Speaking in an interview with Engr. Collin Uba, the chairman of Sun Rain Group, ASPMDA, he told Business Hilights that “The gesture to support educational development in Nigeria remains one of his cardinal points and he always tries to support less-privileged students to be well-educated in Nigeria for a better society.
