The Abia State Government (ABSG) has announced that it will no longer approve the construction of three-storey buildings and above unless they include elevators.
Developers have been warned to comply with this new regulation.
Findings by Business Hilights South East Bureau Chief in Umuahia showed that the idea to ban approvals for storey building from three (3) and above stemmed from the fact that many tenants or occupiers who leave at the last floors suffer a lot of stress and are usually victims of many types of emergencies.
