
The Guest lecturer of the day, Alhaji Abdul Akeem Muh, Awwal, addressing Mosque caretakers
Weekend, it was pump, pageantry and celebration galore as the Turbanning and Merit Award Ceremony at the African Tyre Village (ATV) Central Mosque, Lagos International trade Fair complex took centre stage.

In his lecture centering on the ‘Rewards of Contributions Towards the Cause of Allah and Humanity,’ the Guest lecturer of the day, Alhaji Abdul Akeem Muh, Awwal, made it cear that God Almighty is a lover of humanity and revealed that religious tolerance is the hallmark of peace and progress everywhere.

He so much appreciated how Christians; including an Evangelist (Mandilas President, Emmanuel Ezeani), were in attendance to a Muslim gathering in Lagos trade Fair complex, saying such a harmonious interface reflects commitment to peace and real partnership for growth in the complex.

Speaking on the turbanning of the ATV Central Mosque Imam, Alhaji Sheik Imam Suleiman Ibrahim Onaopepo, the guest lecturer called on key officers of the Muslim community to always work the Imam for better results.

The very educative and enlightening lecture was capped with presentations of awards to deserving personalities in no particular order in the complex.

Some of the key awardees included the ED/CEO of the complex, Dr. Barr Vera Ndanusa, who was represented by two senior Directors in the Trade Fair management Board; Mrs. Ngozi Okafor and Mr. Kolo. Also recognized was the chairman of stakeholders and APT President, Chief Eric Ilechukwu even as other market leaders and Presidents of stakeholders’ associations helped during the presentations by giving awards to people according to lists.

Some of the market leaders present at the event included Stakeholders chairman, MUTA President, Evang. Emmanuel Ezeani, Tools & Hardware President, Chief Kenneth Ezeiruoma, APT Secretary, Chief Cosmas Okafor, UASPDA Secretary, Chief Uzoma, APT Treasurer, President of BBA, Chief Oscar Odogwu, Mechanic Village President, Alhaji Segun Olabisi and ASPMDA President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe.

Some of the association presidents who made donations to support the ATV Muslim community included Stakeholders’’ Chairman/APT President, BBA President, Tools & Hardware President, and UASPDA Secretary.

Earlier in his opening speech, the chief host and Vice president of Nigerian Association of Tyre Marketers (NATM), owners of ATV, Chief Okechuwku…….. welcomed everybody with open heart and explained that ATV, everybody is a member of one big family not minding your religion, saying that is why the progress of the association has been growing from year to year.

In an interview, Alhaji Isah Akanbi Mohammed, the General President of NATM, told Business Hilights that he supports both Muslim and Christian activities in the association and as a leader, he is father to all for the progress of the system.

He therefore congratulated award winners and thanked all the stakeholders who came in person to be with his association at the occasion.
