President of the largest motor spare parts shopping arena, the Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers’ Association (ASPMDA), Hon. Ngozi Emechebe (Nmiri-Oma n’Nnewi), has announced that come Friday, February 14, 2025, the association will roll out drums to celebrate its 25 years of doing business in the Lagos International Trade Fair complex. He said the planned Silver Jubilee anniversary will mark a turning point in the life of the association this year.
Speaking exclusively in a telephone interview with Business Hilights Publisher, Prince Stan Okenwa on Tuesday morning, he said “Now we have officially reopened the plaza for the business year – 2025; my administration has started planning on how to package a befitting 25th anniversary which is our Silver Jubilee this year.
“We are going to set up a strategic organizing committee immediately. The Committee will be charged with the responsibility of coming up with plans for a world-class anniversary.
According to ASPMDA president, “The Committee will for the first time attempt to carry out a clear and real time valuation of investments in ASPMDA to get the true worth of the plaza,” saying the idea is to correctly situate the association in the eyes of the government and policy makers.
“As part of the anniversary packaging, we are going to have a true documentary of the ‘Development and Rise of ASPMDA’ in the last 25 years of business in the complex.
“Recall that ASPMDA was the very first association to land here at the Lagos International Trade Fair complex in 2000 under the leadership of our able Exodus President, Chief Charles Ages Okeke.
“At the anniversary, many resourceful members of ASPMDA, complex stakeholders’ associations and many top government officials and politicians far and wide plus industrial giants in the progress of ASPMDA will be exceptionally celebrated.
“So, we are seriously working on a celebration that will reshape things in the complex and further bring in a better narrative for the entire Trade Fair complex history.
Emechebe therefore called on founding fathers, BoT members, past presidents and Block Officers to rally round the administration for a successful Silver Jubilee anniversary come Friday, February 14, 2025.
