In view of her unprecedented eagle-eyed intelligence and synergy with sister agencies at the port which have become a nightmare for smugglers, the Area 2 Command, Onne, has emerged as a shining example of excellence in anti-smuggling activities.
The feat, which has led to seizure of several items within the year under review, was key in earning the command the prestigious award for Best Anti-Smuggling Unit at the recent CGC Awards and Gala Night.
Speaking on the award, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Babandede, said it was a team effort, as he could not have done it alone if not for the role every officer and men in the Command played in ensuring public health and safety of lives
He appreciates every officer and man of the Command for their contribution towards making the country safe.
