With High Success of #CITF2024, Yearly Trade Fair Has Come to Stay—FG

The Federal Government has announced that the hitherto abandoned yearly International Trade Fair at the Lagos Trade Fair complex, Badagry Expressway, which was successfully activated by the leadership of the current Executive Director/CEO of the complex, Barr. Vera Ndanusa, will henceforth become an annual event.

This was made public by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole in her Keynote Speech at the closing ceremony of the Commercial and Industrial Trade Fair 2024 at the complex.

The Minister took out time to hail the doggedness and fighting spirit of the ED/CEO of the complex for her lion-heart in taking up and delivering the fair in record success.

The Minister, ably represented by the Perm Sec of the Ministry, Amb. Nura Rimi, said plan are already on the way for a comprehensive Africa Union/MSME International Trade Fair coming at the complex next year.

While congratulating Barr. Ndanusa for taking the Bull by the horn and delivering a successful trade fair this year, he averred that that of 2025 will be bigger and better.

Earlier in her address, the ED/CEO profusely thanked everybody, associations, partners and the media for contributing in no small measures for the success of the fair which has not taken place in the last 14 years.

In the security department, Barr. Ndanusa thanked the Nigerian Army, DSS, Police, Civil Defence, Peace Corps and the internal security architecture. She thanked the Fire Service, LAWMA and so many agencies that contributed for the success of the fair.
