Former President of Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA) and leading stakeholders in investment activities at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Chief Sir Sunny Igboanuzue, has congratulated the Executive Director/CEO of the Trade Fair Management Board, Barr. Vera Ndanusa for his leadership in steering the recently concluded Commercial and Industrial Trade Fair 2024 to success.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Business Hilights on Wednesday at the closing ceremony of the fair, he said “Barr. Ndanusa has done what many men and women cannot do in the last 14 years in just one year of her appointment by Mr. President. I want to congratulate her for this feat. Its not easy.
On the performance of the fair itself, Chief Igboanuzue scored it 75 per cent, saying “This year is just the beginning and you know it’s not always easy to begin. But we believe that that of 2025 will be bigger and better.”
“Next year, we expect that many more international exhibitors will come and even more local b businesses will buy into the 2025 fair.
“With the level of success recorded this year, idea and knowledge garnered from this year’s fair will be put to work next year so as to make that of 2025 better and bigger.
On the general support from the stakeholders, he called for more support for the ED/CEO to do more for the complex and advised the stakeholders to always avoid issues that divide them and embrace issues that unite them for the benefit of the complex and businesses in the complex.
He called for more private sector participation in next trade fair so as to grow the economy.
On the level of publicity of the fair, he called for a stronger sensitization of Lagosians and all Nigerians so as to raise awareness of the fair on time to avoid experiences of poor crowd attendance in next year’s fair.
Chief Sonny Igboanuzue was amongst the top sponsors of the CITF2024 and was given a certificate for his corporate support of the just concluded #CITF2024.
