The President of Association of Nigerian Tyre Marketers (ANTM), owners of Africa Tyre Village (ATV), Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Alhaji Isah Akanbi Mohammed has assured the visiting members of the Federal House of Representatives Committee on Commerce that his association is ever ready to partner with any genuine manufacturer of tyres in anywhere in the world to come and invest here in Nigeria.
Addressing the federal lawmakers on oversight function tour of the complex, Mohammed averred that “My association is ever ready to collaborate with foreign tyre manufacturers who are ready to set up factory here in Nigeria.
“Our tyre problem in Nigeria started as soon as Dunlop and Mechilin exited the economy due to poor ease of doing business. We are willing to assist any tyre manufacturer from anywhere to set up factory and return the motoring experience of Nigerian like it was when Dunlop and Mechilin were here in Nigeria.
Responding, the House Committee chairman, Hon. Ahmed Munir assured members of ANTM that the federal Government will do everything possible to grow ease of doing business in the complex and also join with the association in encouraging genuine foreign investors in coming to set up plant here in Nigeria.
