
ASPMDA Concluding 3 days of mourning for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah
…Awaits Family for burial arrangements
The Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), this afternoon, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, wrapped up three days of mourning and signing of condolence register it declared since Monday for the passing away of its Grand-Patron, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
Business Hilights recalls that the lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial Zone passed away in London on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
In his opening remarks, the Ist Vice President, Hon. Sir Livinus Adili rolled out the order of programme for the concluding day of the three-day mourning for the departed Grand-Patron after which he handed proceedings to the ASPMDA Secretary, Sir Juve Uche Okpala-Okaka who conducted the programme till conclusion.

In order of tributes, first to speak was former President, Chief Tony Ughagwu, under whose administration Senator Ubah was made ASPMDA Grand-Parton.
According to him, “Ubah never hesitated in accepting to be our patron and always asking for what he can do for the progress of ASPMDA. He recalled that amongst one of the frist thing he did for ASPMDA was to donate a fire fighting truck which is still functional till today.

Following former President Ughagwu was the Secretary of the ASPMDA BoT, Mayor Garuba Mabayomije, who recalled how accessible and friendly Senate Ubah had been on issues concerning ASPMDA at all times.
In his eulogies, another former President of ASPMDA, Chief Sunnex Ohanazoeze recalled that whereas Senator Ubah showed exemplary roles as a Grand-Parton, ASPMDA has another Grand-Parton in the person of Chief Andy Ubah.
He advised ASMPDA to become very careful going forward on issues concerning the government and other sundry activities.
Following Chief Ohanazoeze to speak was Hon. TT Okoye, who painted a good picture of the departed describing him as always on hand to save situations for anyone that calls on him at all times.
In an interview former 4-terms General Secretary of ASPMDA, Hon. Okwudili Chukwuma described Senator Ubah’s death as a big loss to ASPMDA, saying “Within his time as ASPMDA Grand-Patron, he was always on hand to attend to every issue of ASPMDA interest.”
Concluding the session was the Vice Chairman of Nnewi Association in ASPMDA, who described his death as very unbelievable to him considering all the promises and pledges he made for the association before his death and prayed to God to grant Nnwei people the grace to bear the irreparable loss.

In an interview with ASPMDA current President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe, he said he is still in shocks both as President of ASPMDA and a member of Nnewi Association in the complex. While admitting that ASPMDA will continue to miss Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, he added that “ASPMDA will wait for his burial plans and arrangements from the family so as to know where to queue in to pay our last respect to our departed Grand-Patron, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah”.
