Late Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah
With heavy heart, the management of the largest auto spare parts shopping complex in sub-Saharan Africa, the Auto Spare Parts & machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex, has announced that effective Monday, July 29, its official flag will be at half-mast as a mark of respect for its departed Grand-Patron, late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
Recall that the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial Zone, died in UK over the weekend.
A statement signed by ASPMDA Secretary, Sir Juventus Uche Okpala-Okaka, quoted the President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe, as saying that “ASPMDA is still in shocks that the Grand-patron of ASPMDA is no more.”
“The passing away of one of our illustrious members and current Grand-Patron remains a rude shock to all of us. We are in deep mourning and the management has declared a three-day mourning starting from today, Monday in honour of our departed Grand-Patron, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
“A condolence register will be officially opened today, Monday, at the ASPMDA hall for members to drop their heartfelt condolences. The exercise will last for three days, starting from tomorrow at 11 am.
“We respectfully invite the following dignitaries to join us in this solemn exercise:
– ASPMDA Board of Trustees (BoT) led by the BoT Chairman
– Founding Fathers
– Past Presidents
– Past Secretaries
– Pioneer Block Officers
– Pioneer Security and Surveillance
– The central assembly
– ASPMDA CSO, his deputy, and other security personnel
– Geopolitical zone leaders
– Bankers in the premises
– All consortium in the premises
“Your presence and condolences are highly valued as we mourn the loss of our Grand Patron, who is equally a serving Senator.
“Additionally, all ASPMDA Media admins are instructed to join the exercise and provide coverage.
Continuing, ASPMDA President rolled out some of the supports and contributions of the late Grand-Patron to include donation of a massive firefighting truck, illumination of the entire ASPMDA complex with ultra-modern solar street lights.
“Apart from the infrastructural supports to ASPMDA, late Senator Ubah was always on hand to attend to any form of problem or challenge faced by ASPMDA that was brought to his notice with dispatch.
“Earlier this year, Senator Ubah was in ASPMDA to broker peace when we had a political glitch and his efforts lead to the amicable resolution of the crisis.
While revealing that ASPMDA will continue to miss his supports and technical assistance, Hon. Emechebe prayed to God to grant him peaceful rest.
