President of the Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International trade Fair complex, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe has once again, called on the government to always accord the private sector in its economic planning processes for the good of the economy.
Speaking to media executives in his Office on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, he said “Government’s inability to work with the private sector in development planning has been the reason why several development policies do not perform well.
He therefore called on the federal government to always carry key operators in the private sector along in development planning to achieve good results.
According to him, several government officials do not come close to private sector operators until things get worst, saying countries like China is doing well because it always plan with its private sector and do not depress them with taxes and bad policies.
Continuing, he said the N200bn palliative for businesses should be channeled to well-known private sector operators like associations like ASPMDA and the likes so that businesses can grow and create more jobs for Nigerians.
According to him, ASPMDA needs government support in areas of funding palliatives, social amenities and policies to grow ease of doing business.
