The Senator, representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah has been hailed by Anambra indigenes and mainly residents of Nnewi area following a recent massive donation of security apparatus to the community.
On Monday, Ifeanyi Ubah, a senator from the Anambra South Senatorial District, donated over 100 walkie-talkies, 14 Toyota Sienna sedans, 40 motorcycles, 100 Walkie-talkie and other security gear to neighborhood security watch groups in Nnewi, Anambra State. According to Ubah, the act was a part of efforts to arm, support, and empower local security officers so they could better handle the escalating unrest in Nnewi and the area.
Recall that few months ago, armed assailants assaulted the senator’s vehicle in the Enugwu-Ukwu neighborhood of the state’s Njikoka Local Government Area, killing several of his security people.
However, the Senator averred while handing over the equipment that “The days of armed robbers and other criminals tormenting law-abiding inhabitants in Nnewi and its surroundings are over, he declared. This time, both inside the wilderness and in the towns, criminals won’t have their usual field day”.
