More development experts and professionals have continued to applaud the recent administrative step taken by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo in separating Trade and Commerce from Industry Ministry.

Otherwise, the new change in the state shows that whereas Trade and Commerce now constitute a different ministry, Industry now stands alone as a ministry charged with production and manufacturing development and logistics in the state for administrative ease.

In an interview in his office on Thursday, the President of Mandilas International Trade Center, Lagos International Trade Fair complex, Hon. Chief Anthony Okeke, Ezekwueche Aguleri averred that “First of all, I wish to applaud every administrative step so far taken by our governor, Prof Soludo since he assumed office in March this year.”

“The recent one is timely. Separating Trade and Commerce from Industry is a good idea given the distractions that the former arrangement attracts.

Continuing, the Coordinator, Soludo Support Group SSG, Lagos State Chapter and Convener/Sponsor, Anambra Men & Women For Soludo, recalled that having spent over two decades in market administration with a track record of integrity, “The idea of separating the two from Industry is very key in the new development plan of the current visionary administration in the state.”

“We all are aware that momentary disturbances regularly coming from the activities of traders in markets and other pockets of trade union distractions also coming from both Trade and Commerce affairs can make industrial development policies look difficult.

“So, I support the separation 100%; because it will further create a clear view in the development and implementation Trade and Commerce policies Anambra State requires now and further allow for clear and direct policy development for the industrial growth of the state.

Commenting on working for the Soludo Administration, if invited by the Governor, Chief Okeke averred that “Every right thinking person in Anambra State knows that Governor Soludo is on the right development track and the option if invited to contribute my quota is to join the winning team deliver dividends of democracy for our people.

He recalled that “I have the required experience in the area of Trade and Commerce having been in top market leadership position for over two decades. Besides, am a trained business administrator by virtue being a graduate of Business Administration from UniLag.

“So, I can do well in the development policy initiation and implementation if invited by the Governor,” Mandilas President added.
