This latest introduction into the Nigerian market is essentially a mobile communication technology used worldwide to access network services by simply sending text between a mobile phone and an application in the network.
This USSD service is unique as subscribers’ can access Smile’s USSD service without using any Internet connection or data. Subscribers can access the various services by simply dialing the code *4504# from their mobile phones. There is no need to call Customer Service or go online to access particular services, just dial *4504#.
With the new USSD *4505# service, Smile subscribers can Redeem Airtime/Bundles, Buy Bundles with Airtime, Check Account Balances, Update their NIN as well as Manage Auto-renewal at their convenience.
Expatiating on the user-friendly nature of the service, Abdul Hafeez, Chief Marketing Officer of Smile Communications Nigeria, stated that all our customers need is to use the service is to dial *4504# from their mobile phones, enter their SmileNumber and the four-digit PIN as selected by the user, and they will be good to go.
