In keeping with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy, leading national carrier, Globacom has declared interest in joining lead sponsors of the 2020 edition of the annual Africa CEO Forum holding in Cote D’Ivoire.

This will mark the second time Globacom is lending support to Jeune Afrique Media Group and Rainbow Unlimited to host the gathering of the continent’s top business leaders.

Already, the telecom giant has signed off the Diamond Partner of the 2020 edition of the forum scheduled for March 9 and 10, 2020.

Business Hilights gathered that participants and continental business leaders will among other key issues, review “Capitalism for the many, a new horizon for the African private sector”.

The forum attracts heads of governments, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), international investors, experts and high-level policy makers, who brainstorm on various aspects of business and how to facilitate economic growth on the African continent.

In a statement, the company averred that “the 2020 edition of the programme would provide a networking platform for decision makers to identify ways to improve intra-African trade and investments,” adding that “The sponsorship was part of its efforts to support initiatives that nurture Africa’s economic potential.”

It would be recalled that the 2019 edition also sponsored by Globacom was held in Kigali, Rwanda, and drew the participation of over 800 chief executives of multinational companies and over 1,800 participants from 70 countries.

On what to expect at the upcoming 2020 edition being bankrolled by Glo, Jeune Afrique Media Group said 1,800 business leaders, heads of government and policy makers would gather to rethink the role of African capitalism in this age of digital disruption with its attendant economic and political uncertainties.
