In line with taking corporate caution, leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Apple Saturday temporarily shut down all its stores in mainland China till next Sunday, February 9, 2020.

The group said on Saturday in a statement that “Our thoughts are with the people most immediately affected by the Coronavirus and with those working around the clock to study and contain it.”

The company further averred that “Out of an abundance of caution and based on the latest advice from leading health experts, we’re closing all our corporate offices, stores and contact centers in mainland China through February 9,” it said.

However, the group added that Apple’s online store in China will stay open, adding that it will continue to monitor the situation, and re-open its stores “as soon as possible.”

Within last week, several international firms shutdown their concerns including major international airlines pending when the pandemic will be clearly under control.
