Leading telecom giant, MTN Nigeria Thursday, 30 January 2020, appeared before the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, to formally discontinue its legal action against the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice (AGF).
This follows the decision of the AGF to refer the matter to the relevant regulatory authorities.
It would be recalled that MTN Nigeria had applied to have the legal action struck out, which request was duly granted by the court.
In a terse statement signed by the Company Secretary, Uto Ukpanah and made available to Business Hilights in Lagos, the company averred that “MTN Nigeria remains committed to meeting its fiscal responsibilities and contributing to the social and economic development of Nigeria.”
