The Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Monday assured the Government and people of Ogun State of strong synergy in ensuring the workability of the Olokola Deep Seaport Project in the state.
The scheme, which is part of new NPA’s 25-Year New Port Development Master Plan is expected to relief existing ports in Lagos of pressure on infrastructure and traffic crisis as more cargoes would be diverted to the new port on delivery in the Ogun State waterfront.
Receiving the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Oyedele-Salako and the Ogun State Government Team inclusive of their Technical Partners from Abu Dhabi Ports, Hadiza Bala Usman, Managing Director of NPA, called for greater cooperation amongst stakeholders whilst practicalising the Federal Government 25 Years Port Master Plan in order that the Port Industry Develops in tandem with Global Best Practices.
