The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere has charged students in tertiary institutions to remain focused and dedicated to their studies in other to realize their dreams and aspirations in life.
Dr. Agbazuere, who gave the charge when he received in audience, the executives of the Abia State University students union government, Uturu ably led by Comr. Ohuoba Smile Ike, in a solidarity visit in his office in Government House, Umuahia harped on the need for them to take their studies seriously in other to be a bride highly sort for in the Labour market.
Congratulating the SUG President ABSU and his executives for the way they are piloting the affairs of the students peacefully without any crisis, called on students within and outside the state to shun cultism and any other social vices capable of jeopardizing their future.
He further warned that anybody or motor mechanic caught vandalizing government vehicles will be made to face the full weight of the law as well as called on commercial drivers to avoid reckless driving and over speeding and drive with caution especially during this yuletide.
Earlier in his speech, Comrade Ike, who commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for appointing a seasoned lawyer, young and vibrant technocrat, Dr A.C.B Agbazuere as his chief of staff, thanked him for erecting a befitting SUG Secretariat for them said they came on behalf of the students community of Abia state University Uturu to felicitate with him on his appointment as the chief of staff to the Governor.
Comrade Ohuoba used the opportunity to inform the Chief of Staff of their forthcoming Abia state university students summit with the theme “Eradicating the pervasive social deviations of the youth” slated to hold from the 5th-7th of February 2020 also appealed to the state government to assist them with operational vehicles to enable them perform optimally.
