Strong indications emerged weekend on the possibility of the famous Ikeja Computer Village being finally relocated to a new proposed permanent site, to Katangowa in Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area.

This is as many of the traders and mainly associations in the market who are mainly none indigenes complained of poor awareness of the entire plan on grounds of not being carried along.

The traders complain mainly in terms of the cost of family relocation, change of schools for their wards, chances of retaining their existing customer base and possibility on not getting shop allocation in the new Computer Village site on completion.

The Lagos State Government had on Friday met with relevant stakeholders to reach agreements towards the planned relocation of the Computer Village.

However, a statement signed by Mr. Sanusi Mukaila, the spokesman for the state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, said the meeting was to carry stakeholders along on the project.

Government in the statement assured fresh plans of constructing new road network within the new location. The three roads to be constructed or upgraded in the area are Ahmed Mohammed Road, Ogunyemi Damisa Street and Abubakar Street.
