Digital wizkid and Japan-based Nigerian developer, Simple Azenabor, is currently giving finishing touches to his platform, SoftTalk Messenger, a social media messaging app, ahead of launch in Lagos very soon.

Whereas industry analysts say the globally expected App may compete favourably with WhatsApp, parts of the advantages coming with it include solving local problems and creating job opportunities in the country.

Otherwise, SoftTalk Messenger is an indigenous messaging application, which enables users to chat, make audio and video calls, unrestricted numbers of group chats as well shop for affordable and genuine products.

Azenabor observed that the surge in Nigeria’s mobile subscriptions which stood at 163 million, will push up uptake of the App by Nigerians who are becoming tired of foreign messaging app that comes with no local content.

The App developer and Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Prime Time Telecoms, a telecoms Service provider based in Japan, Azenabor, revealed in an interview that Softtalk is scheduled for launch in August.

According to him, “There is no doubt that Nigerians are hungry for a new technology and need something different that can be called our ‘own’.

“Beyond this, Nigerians are still paying high premium for low quality products and services, and in some cases non-existent after-sales support, a known problem that SoftTalk Messenger is trying to solve and thereby open doors to job creation.

“We do so much than messaging, we want to empower and improve on the way messaging is done today, by giving access to users to shop, while Soft chatting and Soft talking at the same time.

“We are not in SoftTalk for revenue purposes, we are in it to solve a bigger problem and create employment in the country.”

He said every Nigerians are embodiment of possibilities, potentialities as it were, stressing that “for Nigeria to be what we want it to be, Nigerians must come out to be what to figuring out how to solve our problems, we must invest in our people, equip them to contribute productively and creatively.”

Business Hilights gathered that the App delivery specifications showed that SoftTalks has tremendous potential and rooms for growth and streamline revenue strategies and masterplan and is passionate about creating high paying jobs and growing the nation’s technology sector, so if you are investors, developers and citizens that is looking at becoming part of a growing startup, they can get across to us.”

Azenabor said “There’s always something for you on SoftTalk Messenger, the first Nigeria’s Messaging app which enables users to not just chat but shop for quality controlled products and services that you can trust”.
