Breaking: Amaechi’s security details knock down Wike’s escort rider, cork guns
Contrary to some media reports that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike escaped assassination today, Saturday, November 11, 2017, what can best be described as endless rivalry between the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Governor of Rivers State played out at Nwanja junction,
Trans Amadi area in the Rivers State capital.
Eyewitnesses said trouble started when Amaechi’s convoy sensing that Wike’s motorcade was approaching the roundabout, momentarily stopped at the junction and knocked down Governor’s lead Escort rider.
Otherwise, what was supposed to be a routine inspection exercise by the Rivers State Governor was caught in the web, when his convoy came head to head with the convoy of former Governor Amaechi resulting in nearly unavoidable shutout between security men attached to both parties.

ocked down the Governor’s Escort Rider apparently in a show of power to make way for the Minister.
Observers say the Minister’s convoy was aware that Governor Wike was approaching in the first instance.
But in gallantly tailored leadership intelligence, the Chief security detail to the Governor physically came down and managed the already rising frayed nerves while the Governor and minister glued to their seat watching from their tinted but bullet proof jeeps.
The drama lasted for over 30minutes before the Governor proceeded for the inspection of some ongoing projects.
