
Notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike, alias Evans and some of his houses
Anambra State born most notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike alias Evans on Wednesday pleaded guilty to the kidnapping charges preferred against him with one of his gang member while the other three pleaded not guilty.
It would recalled that lagos State government had few months ago, signed into law, anti-kidnapping law which provides for death sentence and in a rare case, life sentence.
Alongside his other five gang members, were arraigned before a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, on two counts bordering on kidnap and illegal possession of arms. The case was adjourned to October 16th for trial.
Legal analysts who spoke to Business Hilights shortly after the plea hearing agreed that he has, by pleading guilty as charged made his case simple and may instead of getting death sentence may get life jail on judgment day.
